The School
Liliana Maddams, Principal of the L.A. Talent School welcomes you!!

The object of the school is to give young people the opportunity to recognize and develop their talents to their full potential, while increasing their self-esteem and confidence in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, which provides the optimum way to express their own uniqueness and individuality in a creative manner.

The Curicculum
The curriculum consists of training in singing, ballet, tap, jazz, street funk and hip-hop, all of which form the full course. Although dance classes are taken separately, there is a close relationship between all classes, as together they lead to a complete production number in song and dance. These classes are designed to complete the students education in the dance forms required today. It is essential that any student even slightly contemplating entering the entertainment industry must have a sound knowledge of all forms of the arts. However, single classes may be taken.

Singing
The singing period consists of basic theory followed by singing in harmonies.  Students will also learn breathing techniques and how to break songs down. Choreography of the songs learnt in the class follows, and the movements intensify as the ability of the student improves.

Teachers
All teachers employed by the L.A. Talent School have had many years of professional experience on stage, television and in the classroom and are all fully qualified teachers and bring with them a wealth of knowledge.

Showgroups
All students are eligible to audition for the show groups, which form the L.A. Stars. Members of these groups perform at Darling Harbour, Olympic Centre, Burwood Festival and at other venues throughout the year. Only students attending the full course will be chosen for show group i.e. tap, jazz and singing. All show group students will receive a “show group trophy” at our end of year Christmas party.
