CHRISTMAS CONCERT 2008

AND GENERAL INFORMATION

Dear Parents,

Date: Sunday 21st December 2008

Where: Bankstown Sports Club
8 Greenfield Parade, Bankstown
Upstairs in the auditorium

Time: Concert commences at 10:00am for students who attend classes on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, all students from the Hurstville Studio and all Showgroup Students.

Concert commences at 2:30pm for students who attend classes on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday and all showgroup students.

The children need to arrive 1 hour before the concert is due to start i.e. 9:00am and/or 1:30pm. Please bring them upstairs to the holding room with full hair and make up done and bring all costumes and shoes required for all items. Tiny tots can arrive in their full costume.

Apply skin coloured foundation
Black eyeliner
Black Mascara
Red lipstick
Pink blusher
Light brown eye shadow for lower lid
Dark Brown eye shadow for upper lid
Beige eye shadow for just under the brow

Hair needs to be curled, in a high ponytail level with the top of the head tied securely with black elastic. Please use bobby pins if needed to keep hair secure.

All boys to have their hair styled and be well groomed.

Please purchase and have all girls wear black scungies and tan shimmer tights for underneath all of their costumes.

If your child is in more than 1 item, please ensure that you come back to the holding area to change them in time for their next item.

Tiny tots are to be collected after their performance and can sit with their parents to watch the remainder of the show.

All students are expected to be available to perform in the finale, so please stay and watch the remainder of the show after your child has finished performing. Please bring your child backstage at the beginning on the 3rd last item on the program.

Please purchase your tickets beforehand to avoid any disappointment on the day. A limited amount of tickets will be available at the door.

Don’t forget the School Holiday Workshop at our Silverwater Studio. Tuesday 20th January 2009, Wednesday 21st January and Thursday 22nd January 2008. See Jan or call the office on (02) 9648 5175 for bookings. $35 per day, 10am – 4pm, morning & afternoon tea included.

Classes will cease on Saturday 20th December 2008 and will resume Tuesday 27th January 2009. If you have any queries regarding the timetable, please call the office on (02) 9648 5175.

Hurstville Classes will resume on Saturday 31st January 2009.

We must insist that all students return to classes on their first day back as the teachers will be commencing their class work for the year and your child will be missing out on vital, new class work and it is very frustrating for the teachers and students alike when some students are missing.

All Showgroup students must return to classes on their fist day back as we will be re-auditioning students within these classes.

For every child that returns to classes on their first start back date will receive a FREE, limited edition L.A. 2009 T-Shirt. (T-Shirts will not be given to any student after the first week back; this is to encourage students to commence classes on time).

Lastly, we would like to wish all the parents, children, family and friends a wonderful Christmas and a safe and happy new year.
